The Bangladesh Caterers Association has formally launched a nationwide culinary apprenticeship and masterclass tour across certified further education colleges throughout England, Scotland, and Wales.
Designed to address chronic kitchen staffing shortages and preserve traditional culinary craftsmanship, the masterclass programme connects experienced executive chefs with catering students and young professionals. Topics covered include:
- Art of aromatic spice roasting, grinding, and bespoke garam masala compounding.
- High-efficiency commercial tandoor preparation and authentic marinade science.
- Food safety, allergen matrix control, and achieving consistent FHRS 5-star hygiene accreditation.
- Modern plating techniques blending heritage flavors with contemporary presentation.
Participating students will also receive priority interview placement with accredited BCA member restaurants upon completion of their vocational diploma. This landmark scheme marks a significant investment by the BCA in safeguarding the culinary legacy of Britain's beloved curry establishments for generations to come.
